The Broyhill Vera drafting stool is specifically designed for standing desks and elevated work surfaces, with a height range extending from 21″ to 29″. This allows you to sit comfortably at desk heights between 36″ and 44″—ideal for standing desks in their mid-position.
Our standard executive and task chairs work best with traditional desk heights of 28-30″. If you use a standing desk primarily in its raised position, we recommend the Vera model for proper ergonomic alignment.
Most customers complete assembly in 15 to 30 minutes. The chairs arrive partially assembled with the seat and backrest separate from the base for shipping protection.
You’ll attach the five-star base to the gas cylinder, insert casters into the base, and bolt the backrest to the seat mechanism using the included hex key. All necessary hardware comes in the box, and our illustrated instructions guide you through each step. No additional tools are required.
Our chairs include hard plastic casters as standard equipment, which work best on carpeted floors. These casters roll smoothly across low and medium-pile carpet without getting stuck or causing excessive wear.
For hardwood, tile, laminate, or other hard flooring, we recommend purchasing soft rubber casters separately to prevent scratching. The casters remove easily by pulling straight out of the base and press-fit into place without tools. Many customers also add a chair mat for additional floor protection regardless of surface type.
The armrest design varies by model. Our Lynx executive chair features fixed padded armrests positioned at standard height for most users. The Sealy Posturepedic task chair also includes fixed armrests with soft padding.
The Vera drafting stool does not include armrests, as elevated seating typically doesn’t accommodate fixed arms at multiple heights. This design allows you to pull close to your work surface regardless of the seat height setting.
Bonded leather surfaces require only regular wiping with a slightly damp microfiber cloth—avoid harsh chemicals or excessive water. For tougher marks, use a mild soap solution and dry immediately.
Mesh fabric benefits from weekly vacuuming with an upholstery attachment to prevent dust buildup. Upholstered fabric seats respond well to spot cleaning with mild soap and water for spills. Check and tighten all bolts quarterly to maintain stability, and clean casters by removing them, clearing away hair or debris, and pressing them back into the base.
